Ink Lounge Gallery :: What We're Up To…

July 20, 2008 :: Seems people like some of the things we do. We got the chance to print a poster for Integer earlier in the month. AIGA Colorado has asked us to print up a poster for their Modern Dog lecture. And then our super exciting news - we got selected to design a poster for the Democratic National Convention. We presented 3 ideas - and they liked them all. 2 of them will be offset printed - and one will be screen printed. No pressure at all of course :)

March-April-May, 2008 :: A super busy few months. The best part is Nicky is here in the studio/gallery full-time these days. We'll call her "Cal" - short for calvary.
• 4-Week Workshop with Whittier Elementary
• 2 Day Workshop with Lumber Elementary
• 4 Week Workshop with the DA-ARTT Program, where we printed over 300 t-shirts, 400 sketch pads, 100 tote bags and a few hundred note cards.
• 1 Day Beginning Ink

We're moving right along with a new flash unit for t-shirts, some fancy new screens, new workshops and just started open studio time. Whew.

February 22, 2008 :: We just finished up our second workshop. The retrofitted exposure unit worked like a champ. Instead of 12 minutes - down to 3, plus the contact went much better and screens turned out pretty fine. Next workshop scheduled for March 22.

February 09, 2008 :: A really nice time last night with Geoff Peveto from Decoder Ring. We flew him up from Austin, TExas and he brought his wife Yancy to the opening. Found ourselves sipping Shiner Bock and chatting into the evening.

January 24, 2008 :: We had our first workshop. Went really good and all seemed to have a good time. There's a link to some images. Next workshop is scheduled for Feb 26.

January 06, 2008 :: We're a little ahead of schedule so we're starting workshops the end of this month. Currently have 2 in our schedule. Feel free to sign-up today.

November 16 2007 :: Thanks to all for a great night. We raised about $1,400 during the silent auction and after we cover a few expenses we'll be donating about $500-$600 to charities. Exhibit will be up through Decmber 13, so stop on in.

October 05 2007 :: Well… we had a great fun opening with many friends, artists and community. We had about 150 people come through during the evening - which means we didn't get to take too many images once it got hopping. Also decided to start using flickr.com to share our photos.

September 2007 :: Not much to report as we've been busy building the space. There's a few images to show some of the progress.
